wants … to When someone wants another person to do something, French doesn't translate "wants you to..." word for word. Instead, it uses veut que (literally "wants that"), followed by the other person and a special form of the verb used for wishes. For example, « Elle veut que tu viennes » is literally "She wants that you come," which simply means "She wants you to come."

FR: Elle veut que tu viennes demain.

EN: She wants you to come tomorrow.
