With an infinitive, se faire can mean that something happened to him, as in il s'est fait avoir, “he got fooled,” or il s'est fait voler, “he had something stolen.” It can also mean “he got used to,” as in il s'est fait à l'idée, or “he hurt himself,” as in il s'est fait mal.
