ข้าพเจ้าถามว่า “ก็เมื่อไหร่ถึงจะได้ความตลอดเล่า”

I asked, “So when will I ever get a straight answer?”

ข้าพเจ้าหัวเราะแล้วถามว่า “ก็ถ้ามันไม่ใช่ผีมันเป็นอะไรเล่า”

I laughed and asked, “Well, if it wasn’t a ghost, what was it then?”

ดิฉันถามว่า “ก็ไม่คอยฉันหรือ”

I asked, “Aren’t you going to wait for me?”

ฝรั่งถามว่า “ก็ตัวคนป่านั่นกองตระเวนเขาจะไม่ต้องการหรือ”

The foreigner asked, “Wouldn’t the patrol need that tribal guy?”

ดิฉันถามว่า “ก็อย่างงั้นไปอยู่ในบางกอกไม่ได้หรือ”

I asked, “Then why couldn’t you just live in Bangkok?”
