がしたい

want to do

→ が
phrase Extremely common #308
want to do In English, you say "I want to travel" using an action word, or "I want a romance" by putting the thing you want after the verb. In Japanese, you can name an activity first and attach がしたい (ga shitai) right after it to say you want to do it. The small word が (ga) points to the activity as the focus of your desire, while したい (shitai) means "want to do." For example, 旅行 (ryokō) means "a trip," so 旅行がしたい (ryokō ga shitai) means "I want to travel," and 恋がしたい (koi ga shitai) means "I want to fall in love."
JA: 週末に旅行がしたい。
