« Dis-moi, qu’est-ce que… ? » (pour introduire une question). Sert à attirer l’attention et à rendre la question plus insistante ou plus dramatique. La virgule montre une petite pause : « Tell me, what… ». On peut souvent l’enlever sans changer le sens principal : « What are we fighting for? ». Registre plutôt oral ; parfois utilisé dans un ton émotionnel (curiosité, inquiétude, frustration).
